Patrick Bodine


Patrick has more than 30 years construction experience and directed multiple organizations to success from senior management positions before co-founding Apex in 2003. He is the license holder for Apex in California, Nevada, and Texas and leads over 150 tradespeople and 35 supporting staff. Patrick directs operational organization throughout the construction lifecycle: estimating, contract oversight, project management, and process improvement. He serves as an expert witness, construction defect contractor, and is a member of several industry-related boards of directors.

Eric Schweinfurter


Eric is a co-founder of Apex. He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering and over 30 years of experience in business. Eric's responsibilities include developing and maintaining the strategic business plan for company financing, growth, and management. He supervises the office and accounting staff, tracks job productivity and profitability, and project management personnel through complex, large-scale commercial projects.

Steve Brink

Sales Manager/Principal

Steve Brink has more than 40 years construction experience, ranks in the 10th percentile nationwide for IICRC, and holds more flood/fire/mold certificates than anyone in San Diego County. He's held various senior leadership positions with home improvement giants Dixieline Lumber (Lanoga), Home Depot, and Standards of Excellence and was a catalyst for their corporate initiatives. As Apex Sales Manager, he's responsible for strategic sales growth, and customer engagement for our restoration, plumbing, and HOA teams.

Hal Sherman

Director of Business Development

Hal brings to Apex over 30 years of real estate experience. Hal has an extensive background in all aspects of real estate including business development, marketing, leasing, property management, project management, and construction. Hal has worked for many of the Country's leading real estate firms such as Trizec Properties and the Shorenstein Company. Throughout his career, Hal has been involved in the development, construction, project management, marketing, and leasing of properties totaling more than ten million square feet. Prior to joining APEX, Hal worked as the Business development manager for Cannon Building and prior to that was the West Coast Director of Business Development for Cushman & Wakefield's facility services division.
