The Defect
Multiple construction defects had led to extensive water intrusion into a 5,000-square-foot, two-story residence in Newport Coast.

The Repair
We removed faulty deck coatings and flashings and properly re-flashed and reinstalled the deck coating and tile to five leaking decks. We removed faulty window flashings throughout the house and reinstalled flashings with proper tie-ins to the building envelopment. We also repaired the waterproofing and flashing to an exterior fireplace and staircase. Our restoration of 20-foot-high interior ceilings included resilient-channel installation and drywall. Throughout the process, we worked closely with the homeowners, attorneys and the architect to plan and implement the most cost-effective solutions to the multiple defects.
